About the atoll
What South Malé is for, and what it isn't.
South Malé sits just south of the capital, a quieter sibling to North Malé. The lagoons are calm, the transfers short, and the resort count is lower so the islands feel less crowded.
The atoll's surf breaks at Pasta Point and Sultans bring a small but loyal crowd between May and September. The rest of the year it is one of the gentlest stretches of water in the country.
